Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

I’ve finished my entry for June 2010’s 11 Second Club challenge. This was my first time submitting to a contest like this and I placed pretty well. I’ve added the final render to my video portfolio for your viewing pleasure! It’s also available on my Youtube channel. Take a look!

I’ll be participating in the July challenge and I’ll be starting on it much earlier so I’ve got the time to develop the concept better as well as polish the animation some more. Look forward to dailies as they come along!

New demo reel and rig video

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

This past week I revamped the Handyman rig I first created this past Fall.  I’ve posted a breakdown video demonstrating the rig’s functions in my video gallery.  I’ve also updated my demo reel; I swapped out a few animations to make room for the rig video.  Check them out!

Handyman – Final

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Completed render of the Handyman motion test. This rig came out really well, and this kind of rig test was an interesting animation exercise. The Handyman himself is a rather bulky character, especially with his very large mallet arm, so maneuvering him against the wall was tricky.

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

Finalized version of the Squoosh animation. Changes from the last update include tweaking the earlier parts of the lipsync and adjusting the timing for eye movements to feel more natural.
